While the best resource for your equine's health needs is your primary equine veterinarian, arming yourself with the basics: horse health, common illnesses and common injuries may help you recognize a health problem before it becomes critical. Becoming an educated owner will help insure the best quality-of-life for your horse, and can be the best defense against costly vet bills.

The Mid Rivers Equine Centre will be posting information on common illnesses and injuries, medications, breeding, foaling, sports medicine, medical advancements, nutrition, well horse care, and any other horse health information that may be of importance to you.
